In line with the nationwide special festive drive initiated by the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to ensure food safety, quality, and the prevention of adulteration ahead of Holi, the Food Safety Team (Enforcement & Food Safety on Wheels) of Mokokchung Zone conducted the “Holi Anti-Adulteration Drive 2025” at the MMC Marketing Complex on Wednesday.
The drive was led by Sukumlo Yanthan, Food Safety Officer, and involved on-the-spot testing of food items such as milk, ghee, edible oil, butter, rasgulla, and gulab jamun. The testing aimed to detect adulteration, as the demand for these products significantly increases during festive seasons, making them vulnerable to contamination.
