Seen in the picture is a glimpse of stone pulling ceremony at Mezoma village in Nagaland on Tuesday. The stone pulling ceremony was observed to commemorate 142 years of Anglo-Naga Peace Treaty as part of Hornbill Festival.
“A day to remember those from Khonoma & the 13 villages who sacrificed their lives for the rights of the Nagas,” CM Rio tweeted.
Today, the stone pulling ceremony at Mezoma village is of great importance especially for the younger generations to know more about our history, roots and culture. I believe everyone who witnessed the grand event had a memorable experience. #Nagaland #HornbillFestival2022 pic.twitter.com/0qt5FuTmty
