Mokokchung, June 12 (MTNews): A prayer cum felicitation program for the successful candidates of both the HSLC and HSSLC candidates from Lirmen village, including Richetla, who secured the 20th position in HSLC this year, was held at Kids Worship Centre, Ana-Ki Building, Khermahal, Dimapur, Sunday.

The felicitation and prayer service was organized by Dimapur Lirmen Tamang Telongjem (DLTT) with support from Dimapur Lirmen Senso Telongjem (DLST), was first of its kind within the villagers to acknowledge the successful students.

 

DLST president, Lima Imchen, highlighted that Richetla, who also got distinctions in all the subjects, was honoured with a cash award of Rs 5000 with certificate and gift hampers, while the other successful candidates including distinction holders were also acknowledged with certificates and gift hampers in order to encourage others.

 

Executive member, DLST, Samuel Longchar, while exhorting the gathering mostly comprising of the students and their parents encouraged for more positive “results” in future and that the same example has to be inculcated.

 

He later expressed his gratitude to the parents and guardians for their guidance in making their wards successful to reach this far. In-charge, Dimapur Lirmen Tamang Telongjem (DLTT), Robert Longkumer, offered prayer for the successful candidates.

 

Earlier, the felicitation programme chaired by Imnanungsang started with an invocation by T Sosang Longchar, a scripture was read by Talimoa, while a special song was presented by Abenla S Imchen.

 

Alila Chuba also spoke in the felicitation programme. It may be mentioned here that 12 candidates including Richetla were among those successful HSLC and HSSLC candidates felicitated who secured first division with distinctions in different subjects.

 

They included Tsuktilemla Longchar (HSLC 1st div with distinction in social science), Imtimongla (HSLC 1st division with distinction in Science and English), Chubatola Jamir, (HSSLC Arts 1st div distinction in Political science, education, English and sociology), Bendangyanger C Longkumer (1st division Science), Nungsangyapang Longchar (HSLC 1st division with distinctions in all six subjects), SentilongLongchar (HSSLC Arts 1st division with distinction in political science), Moanungla Aier (HSLC 1st division with distinction in social science), Watisangla Aier (HSLC 1st division), Burjungla Longkumer (HSLC 1st division with distinction in English, Science, and Social Science), Jungshilemla (HSLC 1st division with distinction in English, Maths, Science, Social Science and 6th subject), and Aosanen (1st division with distinction in Act, S/ST-DMS, EVS).
