IBAPWO organised a career guidance workshop for students of Pungro Town at the PACSU Hall on September 26, with 40 students participating.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Noyingbini T. Erui, Director and Founder of Erui Design; Pentsumong Wilson, Career Facilitator, Antarang Foundation; and N. Apong, Chief Functionary.
The first session, led by Wilson, focused on making career choices based on students’ interests, abilities and individual circumstances. He also introduced various diploma programmes and training opportunities available to students.
Dr. Erui led the second session, beginning with an ice-breaking activity before discussing the importance of hard and soft skills in career development. Drawing from her own experiences, she encouraged students to make informed and thoughtful career decisions.
The closing session, conducted by Apong, focused on students interested in the Science stream. He explained subject combinations available after HSLC and highlighted the importance of entrance examinations such as JEE and NEET. He also outlined various career opportunities available through the Science stream.
The workshop provided students with guidance on identifying their interests, exploring career options and making informed decisions about their future.
