The Institute of Communication and Information Technology (ICIT) Mokokchung held a Project Showcase and Presentation Program on March 28, 2025, following a successful Certificate Training Course on “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.” The two-week intensive training, conducted in collaboration with Intel Corporation India from March 17 to 28, 2025, attracted twenty-eight (28) trainees from across the state, representing diverse educational backgrounds.
The training course covered key AI concepts, including demystifying AI, the evolution of AI, AI domains, the societal impact of AI, and AI project cycles. Participants engaged in hands-on projects, developing AI-based solutions to real-world problems in areas such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Statistical Data Analysis.
The projects showcased by the trainees demonstrated the practical application of AI in addressing various issues. Notable projects included:

· Face Mask Detection using Computer Vision

· Cosmochat – Personalized AI Beauty Advisor
· Footbot – AI Chatbot for Football
The Project Showcase featured demonstrations by the trainees, followed by a Q&A session. Er. N. Yibenthung Tungoe, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the AI Skilling Program, chaired the program and provided the context. Er. Lanusenla Longkumer, Principal of the institute, along with Intel-certified AI trainers Er. Temjenmeren Longchari, Er. Benjamin Chophy, Er. Neisakienuo Nelly Yhome, and Er. Ngangsham N. Chemdok, graced the occasion.
Officials from the Intel Digital Readiness Program, including Dr. Aswathy Ravikumar (AI/ML Consultant), Ambika Saxena (CEO, CCPL), and Hemendra Jasani (Research Manager), attended the program virtually. Tiakaba Amer (Additional Director), Er. David Tsela (Joint Director), Er. Khrieketoulie Rupreo (COE, SCTE), and Vichosunuo Kintso (OSD) from the Directorate of Technical Education also attended the program online.
ICIT Mokokchung is currently offering AI Skilling Programs on Introduction to AI, Introduction to ML, and AI for Agriculture, with joint certification by Intel Corporation. The institute has also established an IndiaAI Data Lab, set up by Intel Corporation India.
