The IEC Campaign on Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JUGA) was launched at the ADC office complex in Mangkolemba on November 16, 2024. The event was presided over by Hotolu Sema, the SDO (C), along with officials from various departments, Town Councilors, Dobashis, GBs, and representatives from different organizations.
In his address, Hotolu Sema highlighted that the scheme would be implemented in six villages within the Mangkolemba subdivision, namely Molungkimong, Yimchenkimong, Waromong, Debuia, Khar, and Changki.
Emphasizing the importance of addressing the needs of tribal communities, he expressed confidence that this initiative would lead to widespread and holistic development in the region.
He also outlined a range of interventions to be carried out by various departments, aimed at improving coordination and aligning government projects to ensure maximum impact.
DA-JUGA is focused on promoting the comprehensive growth of tribal areas and communities by addressing critical gaps in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood. Nagaland is among the 30 states and Union Territories selected to implement this initiative, which will benefit 608 villages across the state.
