Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) on Tuesday announced its entry into Nagaland with the signing of a 90-key Ginger hotel in Dimapur. This greenfield project marks IHCL’s debut in the state and strengthens its growing presence across Northeast India.
Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president – Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “Dimapur plays a pivotal role as an economic and cultural centre in Nagaland. With increasing travel demand and infrastructure development in the region, this signing aligns with our strategy to expand our presence in the Northeast. We are delighted to partner with T.K. Enterprises for this project.”
Strategically located near Dimapur Airport, the hotel will reflect Ginger’s “lean luxe” philosophy, combining comfort and functionality. It will offer sweeping views of the city, an all-day diner named Qmin serving global and local cuisine, a bar, a fitness centre, and flexible meeting spaces catering to business and social gatherings.
TK Angami of TK Enterprises said, “We are happy to partner with IHCL to bring the Ginger brand to Dimapur. We look forward to Ginger Dimapur contributing to the region’s growth with quality hospitality experiences.”
Dimapur, the largest city in Nagaland, is a key commercial hub with a diverse economy including trade, manufacturing, services, and transportation. With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Northeast India now includes 19 hotels, with 10 more under development.
The new Ginger hotel aims to meet rising demand from both business and leisure travelers as infrastructure and tourism in the region continue to develop.
