Ihsa Coffee was officially inaugurated today in Kiphire, marking a major milestone for the local community and coffee enthusiasts. The event, held at the café premises, was attended by distinguished guests, community leaders, and well-wishers, celebrating the realization of proprietor Atongba Mongzar’s long-cherished dream.
The inauguration commenced with a heartfelt invocation by Senior Pastor Chopongkyu of Kiphire Town Baptist Lithro (KTBL), setting a solemn and hopeful tone. Pastor Alison, President of Baptist Pastor Fellowship Kiphire (BPFK), led the proceedings and emphasized the café’s potential to serve as a community hub. A highlight of the event was a special musical performance by Lumzila, winner of Star Gazer, which captivated the audience.
Lipichum, DPO LRD Kiphire, delivered the keynote address, tracing the history of coffee from its origins to its journey to India and Nagaland. He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in quality and taste, encouraging Mongzar to persevere despite future challenges. Lipichum urged the café’s employees to serve with sincerity and honesty and pledged support from his department to aid Ihsa Coffee’s growth and contribute to the welfare of Kiphire’s residents. He expressed hope that the café would serve as a space for ministry and community engagement.
