As previously reported, the four youth associations of Penli, Majakong, Lijaba Lijen, and Artang wards of Mokokchung town met with the four wards authorities today at the Penli Ward Community Hall, where they unanimously agreed to block the road from Main Police Point to Sewak Gate Junction via IMDH if the “concerned authority” does not respond positively within six days of the submission of their ultimatum.
With only two days until the ultimatum expires, sources told Mokokchung Times that the blockade will have certain exemptions and considerations that have yet to be spelled out in detail.
It was also informed that the four youth associations will meet with the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) on Sunday to form a coordination committee. The coordination committee, according to sources, will consist of members both from the ward councils and the youth associations and will be responsible for overseeing the issue.
