In an earnest personal message to his community, senior Naga politician and Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen, stated on Monday that they should be grateful to God and praise Him unceasingly, instead of being disgruntled.

In a statement shared in the Ao Naga language, Imchen said that God has bestowed upon the Ao community the most blessed land to call their own, preserved them gloriously through the ages, and brought the Gospel to them through Godhula Brown and Rev Dr EW Clark.
Terming it “God’s amazing grace” to be the first to receive the Gospel among the Nagas, he described the spread of the Gospel from Molungkimong to Impur and throughout the land as a miracle.
He also noted that since the formation of Nagaland state, God has blessed his community in countless ways, including through positions such as Chief Executive, Chief Minister, Governor, and numerous high ranking government officers.
Imchen also said that if it is God’s plan, the Chief Minister could come from other Naga communities, acknowledging that there is a time for everything in God’s plan.
He urged the Ao community, led by pastors and missionaries, to prayerfully submit to God’s will and to praise Him for blessing them abundantly.
Finally, Imchen expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity to share his beliefs with his community.
