Imnainla Jamir from Nagaland was awarded the ‘National Youth Icon Award’ in New Delhi on the occasion of National Youth Day.
The award ceremony was graced by Jual Oram, Minister of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India as the Chief Guest and a host of other dignitaries at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
Imnainla Jamir is also the Global Ambassador of MasterPeace COOLeaders and was recognized for her remarkable contributions to youth empowerment and social development.
The National Youth Icon Award is given annually by the International Youth Committee (IYC), a United Nations accredited organization, at the World Youth Summit. The award is given for the young people globally in recognition of their development work and their contribution towards developing a peaceful, fairer, prosperous and sustainable future that meets the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of United Nations.
