Impur Bible Seminary celebrated its 68th Graduation Ceremony on Thursday under the theme, “Here Am I, Send Me” (Isaiah 6:8).

Graduates of Impur Bible Seminary during its 68th Graduation Ceremony held on April 23, where 46 students were awarded the Diploma in Theological Studies.

The solemn occasion was graced by Rev. Sentisashi Aier, Senior Pastor of Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA), who delivered the commencement address.

In his message, Rev. Aier emphasized the urgency of responding to God’s call with faith and obedience, reminding the graduates that theological training is meant to prepare them to serve both the church and society with humility and dedication.

“Knowing the One who calls, understanding the purpose of the calling, and embracing it positively is the key to a successful ministry,” he said.

He further stated that ministry is not merely about holding a title or completing theological studies, but about cultivating a living relationship with God. According to him, knowing the Caller anchors one’s faith in His authority and promises, while understanding the purpose of the calling aligns one’s service with God’s mission for the church and society.

He added that embracing the call positively enables one to move forward with courage, humility and dedication, even in the face of challenges, ensuring a ministry that is both fruitful and faithful.

The dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev. Jongpong, Pastor of Mopungchuker Baptist Church, invoking God’s blessings and guidance upon the graduates as they begin their journey in ministry.

A total of 46 students were conferred the Diploma in Theological Studies, marking the completion of their academic and spiritual formation at the seminary.

The diplomas were formally presented by Sungjeminla, Academic Dean, and conferred by Shilula, Chairperson of the IBS Board of Governors, along with Imtilemla, Principal of Impur Bible Seminary.

Academic awards were also presented to outstanding students in recognition of excellence in scholarship and character.

The ceremony stood as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the seminary’s continued mission of equipping men and women to serve in diverse areas of ministry.

With the theme, “Here Am I, Send Me,” the graduates were exhorted to carry forward the vision of the seminary and be faithful witnesses of the Gospel in the world.
