Impur, 15 October (MTNews): Impur Christian Hospital observed World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on 14 October 2023, by hosting a special formal program under the theme ‘Compassionate Communities: Together for Palliative Care,’ followed by a free medical check-up for elderly individuals.

The speaker during the program was Shilula Imchen, Associate Pastor of Women at Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo. She emphasized the crucial role of compassionate communities in caring for the sick, alongside medication. She added that every community should nurture a compassionate heart to effectively address palliative care.

Imchen also commended ICH for undertaking this palliative care program and wished for its great success.

In total, 25 people received a free medical check-up.

“We look forward to seeing more facilities to ensure better treatment for the palliative patients,” stated Dr Aka, Medical Superintendent, Impur Christian Hospital.
