Tseminyu, 9 January (MTNews): The Rengma Sports’ Association (RSA) has announced the commencement of the 1st RSA Mini Olympic 2024, a groundbreaking event set to unfold at the RSA Ground in Tseminyu. The sporting extravaganza is scheduled to take place from January 11th to 20th, bringing together participants from all seven ranges under Tseminyu district to showcase their prowess in a diverse range of sports, including Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and various athletics events.
Grand Opening Ceremony
The spirit of unity and sportsmanship will take center stage during the ‘Olympic Torch Relay’ and the ceremonial lighting of the ‘Olympic Flame’, marking the official inauguration of the event on 11 January 2024. This symbolic gesture aims to inspire both athletes and spectators, embodying the essence of competition and friendship.
Distinguished guests, including Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland, Chairman IDAN, Asso. Vice President, Athletics Federation of India (AFI), Secretary General Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA); and Kvulo Lorin, Chairman NIDC and Director Tetso College, will grace the event as Inaugural Guest and Valedictory Guest respectively.
