Motorsports enthusiasts are in for an electrifying treat as the Indian Racing Festival, powered by JK Tyre, is scheduled to take place in Kohima on April 12. The high-octane event is being organized by the Meghalaya Motorsport Society in collaboration with the Director General of the Assam Rifles.
The one-day carnival will showcase an array of “speed, stunts, and an adrenaline-fueled experience that brings the thrill of motorsport directly to the public,” an update said received here.
“This is a landmark event for the region’s motorsport calendar,” said the update. “The event aims to promote motorsports in the Northeast while fostering community engagement and encouraging youth participation in performance-based sporting disciplines,” it added.
Media houses, digital platforms, and broadcast teams have been formally invited to cover the festival on ground, with organizers emphasizing the importance of amplifying the sport’s growing presence in the Northeast.
