Kohima, 30 April (MTNews): A farewell program in honor of the retiring Director of Industries & Commerce, A Temjen Jamir, was held at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Kohima on April 30, 2024.
A Temjen Jamir initially entered government service as an Extension Officer in April 1989 and was subsequently promoted to the position of Director on March 1, 2023. After 35 years of service to the Department, he retired on April 30, 2024.
In his farewell speech, retiring Director A Temjen Jamir attributed his success to God and thanked all the staff for their cooperation. He emphasized the importance of embracing change and working as a team, urging them to continue learning.
In her speech, Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, described retiring Director A Temjen Jamir as a man with a simple heart, humble nature, and joyful demeanor, noting his determination to work for the people. She celebrated his illustrious career and wished him the best in retirement.
Commissioner & Secretary of Industries & Commerce, Kekhrievor Kevichusa, highlighted the phenomenal growth the department experienced under Jamir’s leadership, noting the rich legacy he leaves behind for others to follow.
Incoming Director P Tokugha Achumi delivered a speech on behalf of the officers and staff.
