Peren, August 12 (MTNews): Peren District celebrated International Youth Day at Peren Govt College under the theme ”Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a world for all ages – HIV free.”

Rovikhoto Mor, DPO, DAPCU Peren, spoke on the significance of the day. A spoken word competition was held where a total of 20 students participated including 3 students from St Xaviers College, Jalukie. The winners of the competition were: 1st Miss Soihiamchungliu, 3rd Sem PGC; 2nd Punu Rai, 1st Sem PGC; 3rd David, 5th Sem St. Xavier College, Jalukie; and consolation prize was awarded to Ntingsaple, 5th Sem PGC; Chekhuangthiubuibo, 3rd Sem PGC; and Peremtingyi, 5th Sem PGC.
The prizes were handed over by Albert, Vice Principal, Peren Government College to the winners. The program was entertained by some special numbers presented by Keyichetle, Keyilamle & Keyilungle and Keyipeiraibe.

 

Ngauzeulungbe, DIS Peren gave the vote of thanks and the program was chaired by Pauheugau, Program Asst DAPCU Peren.
