Mon, December 9 (MTNews): PHED Minister Jacob Zhimomi inaugurated the Non-Lapsable Central Pool Resources (NLCPR) project, which will provide gravity-fed water supply in Aboi, Mon on December 8, 2022.
The NLCPR is funded by the Government of India, Ministry of DoNER, for Aboi HQ and Longching HQ in Mon.

 

 

 

He stated that Mon was fortunate to be receiving the project. Zhimomi emphasized the importance of water in daily life, saying that the project will save the people of Aboi and Longching valuable time by eliminating the need for them to fetch water from the hills.

 

He also stated that Nagas must be united for prosperity and urged the gathering to stay united for the sake of the state.

 

The guest of honour, Eshak Konyak, MLA, 47 A/C, Aboi thanked the PHE Department and the State Government for bringing the project to Aboi, Mon.

 

Repangyangba Longkumer, Chief Engineer & HOD, PHED, delivered the technical report. He informed that the estimated cost was Rs. 965.98 Lakh and was funded by the Government of India, Ministry of DoNER and the State Government in the ratio 90:10.

 

He added that the project was sanctioned on December 14, 2017 while the work started on January 29, 2017 and the commissioning date was December 8, 2022.
