Mokokchung, August 8 (MTNews): The North East Executive Council (NEEC) of Janata Dal (U) has expressed joy at the resignation of RCP Singh, former Union Minister and former JDU National President, from the party’s primary membership.
According to the NEEC JDU, RCP Singh was “acting like a BJP mole within the JDU” and was constantly trying to destroy the party, “particularly in the Northeast where the JDU has been thriving under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and the National President, Lalan Singh.”
“The NEEC is of the opinion that RCP Singh eventually exercised good judgment by resigning from the party since sooner or later, he would have been exposed and subject to disciplinary action that would have resulted in expulsion from the organization,” Senchumo NSN Lotha, chairman, NEEC JDU, said in a statement today.
“The JDU has absolutely nothing to lose by the resignation of the likes of RCP Singh who is a sycophant and a person riddled with egoism and attitude issues,” the statement further read.
The party stated that he lacked political knowledge and “was only surviving at the cost of the party and under the glory of Nitish Kumar” and that the NEEC is relieved that RCP Singh has resigned.
Further, the party stated that all the rank and file of the JDU under NEEC will firmly stand by any decision taken under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and National President, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh.
Meanwhile, JDU Nagaland called the resignation of RCP Singh, “a matter of immense joy” and alleged that he had been ”very destructive” to the party from within at the behest of external forces.
“His mind and soul was never with the party as his action showed. RCP Singh did not take up any program or make any strategy for the promotion of the JDU while being Union Minister and National President of JDU,” the party said through a press note.
The party further alleged that Singh never visited Nagaland state when he was the National President and Union Minister despite repeated invitations.
“It only means to convey that RCP Singh’s motive was to slow down the growth of the party and finally paralyze the party and get the reward for doing so from his mentors outside the party,” it stated.
The party called his resignation “a big blessing in disguise” and pledged their support to the party under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar and National President, Lalan Singh.
