Mokokchung, February 12 (MTNews): The office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officers of 29-Jangpetkong AC and 30-Alongtaki AC has informed to all concerned and especially the contesting candidates and the additional agent expenditure that the inspection of the Election Expenditure Register of each candidate by the Expenditure Observer in respect of 29-Jangpetkong AC will be conducted at the office chamber of the SDO(Civil) Mangkolemba and Returning Officers of 29-Jangpetkong AC and the inspection of 30-Alongtaki AC will be conducted at the office chamber of the ADC Mangkolemba and Returning Officer of 30-Alongtaki AC.
The 1st inspection for both 29-Jangpetkong and 30-Alongtaki AC will be held on 14 February at 11:30 AM, the 2nd inspection on February 20 at 11:30 AM and the 3rd inspection on February 25 at 11:30 AM, in the respective office chambers.
It was informed that failure to produce Election Expenditure Register for inspection on the day fixed for this purpose shall tantamount to ‘failure to maintain a day to day of election expenditure’ as required under Section 77 of the Representation of People Act, 1951.
