In his address, Temjenmenba emphasized that societal transformation hinges on each individual member of the society. He challenged the students, in particular, to become better versions of themselves and spearhead positive change in their communities.

Addressing the changing economic scenario, Temjenmenba acknowledged the rise of artificial intelligence and its potential impact on the world, including the Jangpetkong range. He pondered the possibility of exploiting the known mineral resources of Jangpetkong for economic growth, while also raising questions about the future of petroleum dependence in light of emerging alternative energy sources. He urged the students to engage in critical thinking and consider these possibilities. Nonetheless, Temjenmenba held that the natural resources would have to be exploited in the near future to foster economic growth.

However, Temjenmenba cautioned that economic growth may come with cultural shifts due to increased migration and intermarriage. He emphasized the importance of preserving Naga values of respect, love, and unity, as well as the rich language, traditions, and faith inherited from generations past. He asserted that upholding these values is crucial for fostering a self-respecting society.

“Transforming our society depends on you and me, so let us not forget the values of our forebears and not forget our God,” the MLA & Advisor told the students.

While acknowledging the aspiration for government jobs, the DIGP urged the youth to broaden their horizons. He stressed the importance of pursuing opportunities in the private sector, highlighting the need for skill-upgradation and unwavering hard work as key factors for success.

He further encouraged a paradigm shift in mindset, advocating for informed decision-making and personal responsibility. However, Imnalensa IPS also emphasized the critical role of faith in God and consistent effort in achieving one’s goals.

Meanwhile, the MLA & Advisor for Tribal Affairs & Sericulture, Imkongmar, who accompanied Advisor Temjenmenba, also spoke at the program. The AKM President Lanutoshi Aier, and Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang President Purtoshi also greeted the gathering while ex-President of JKTM L Purtoshi also delivered an exhortation.
