Mokokchung, September 4 (MTNews): A delegation of Janata Dal United (JDU) Nagaland led by its general secretary Kitoho S Rotokha recently called on the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar and National President Rajiv Ranjan, an update received here said.
During their meeting, the delegate discussed at length the strategy and the preparation of the party for the ensuing 2023 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election in the event it takes place as scheduled, a press release from the JDU Nagaland General Secretary Kitoho S Rotokha said.
The state unit also assured to “fight against all odds to fulfill Election Commission of India criterion to get our party registered as National Party and also work towards fulfilling the aspiration of regional parties to topple BJP-led NDA Government and enable our leader to lead the nation,” it added.
The delegation also congratulated Kumar on his 8th stint as Chief Minister of Bihar after forming a Greater alliance (Mahaghatbandhan) with six other political parties including RJD, Congress, INC, HAM, CPI(M)etc. The delegation also wished him “good health and wisdom as he endeavours to unify non opposition parties to take on BJP a communal force in the forthcoming 2024 General Election.”
It also said that the delegation also apprised the Bihar chief minister on the Indo-Naga Peace process vis-à-vis impending solution. The release informed that the chief minister reiterated the party’s support in whatever way possible.
Along with Rotokha, the intending candidate from 5 Ghaspani II A/C, the delegation included the party’s General Secretary Imsumongba Pongen; State Executive Member and intending candidate 41 Tizit A/C, Hatpha Wangnao; and President, Wokha Unit, Abenthung.
