Longjang, 30 July (MTNews): Students of Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung paid a visit to Arju Centre, located in Longjang village, Mokokchung, as part of the college club activity on 29 July. The two clubs representing JMC that visited the Arju Centre were the Health and Wellness Club and the Culinary Club.

The visit commenced with an introduction to the activity provided by Imtimatsung, Assistant Professor from the Department of Political Science at JMC. Subsequently, Imkongsowa, In-charge of Arju Centre, Longjang delivered a brief speech on behalf of the center to welcome the visitors.

 

During the visit, there were informative sessions on Health and Environment, presented by Dr Kilangnaro, Assistant Professor from the Department of Environmental Science at JMC. Additionally, a folk tale recitation was delivered by Moamongla.

 

A remarkable aspect of the visit was the exchange of knowledge and skills. The students from Arju Centre taught the students from JMC the art of basket making. In return, the Culinary Club from JMC shared their expertise in food crafting, while the Health and Wellness Club demonstrated loofah making techniques.

 

After the teaching and learning sessions, the students of both the Arju Centre and the JMC engaged in recreational activities, fostering camaraderie and mutual understanding.

 

As the visit concluded, Nukshibenla expressed the vote of thanks on behalf of JMC, expressing gratitude to the Arju Centre for hosting the visit and providing an enriching experience.
