Officers of the Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Joint CCA), North East–II Circle, conducted field inspections of Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) sites today under the 4G Saturation Project being implemented through the Amended BharatNet Project. The inspections were carried out at three sites located in the villages of Asetti (Ur), Chubarongpang, and Tuli in Mokochung District, Nagaland, on 03.02.2026.
According to an official report, the on-site inspection focused on assessing the readiness and functionality of 4G infrastructure created under the project, including verification of installed equipment, power availability, backhaul connectivity, and quality of service parameters. The exercise aimed at ensuring that infrastructure created under the project delivers reliable mobile broadband connectivity in uncovered and remote areas.
The inspection team also examined site-level records and project documentation to ensure transparent utilization of DBN funds and adherence to prescribed technical and financial guidelines, while identifying field-level challenges for timely resolution.
K Sajal, Joint CCA, North East–II, stated that the inspections are undertaken to ensure effective on-ground delivery of DBN-funded 4G infrastructure in line with project objectives and digital inclusion goals.
“The inspection reflects the continued efforts of the Office of Joint CCA, North East–II towards regular monitoring and verification of DBN-funded projects, supporting the broader objective of universal digital access and strengthening digital infrastructure in the North Eastern Region,” the report stated.
