The Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU), in collaboration with the Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur, and the Lions Club Dimapur, successfully organized a blood donation camp at Jotsoma Community Hall, Kuda Village (A Khel). The camp was held in memory of Lt Dr Khrielie-ü Kire, the first Naga lady MBBS doctor, under the theme: ”The gift of blood is the gift of life. Share that precious gift today.”


The primary objective of the camp was to promote voluntary blood donation and ensure a steady supply of blood for those in need. The event saw active participation from various colleges, student organizations, unions, and community members.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Asinuo Dahu, with an invocation pronounced by Mhasibino Nagi, followed by a welcome address from Alenuo Delie, President of CAKSU. The significance of blood donation was highlighted through brief speeches delivered by Dr. Joyce Angami, a representative from the family of Lt Dr Khrielie-ü Kire, Medical Officer Dr Rongsen Lkr from the Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur, and Ankit Jain, President of Lions Club Dimapur.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Visimetuo Nagi, General Secretary of CAKSU. The camp successfully collected 40 units of blood.
