Mokokchung, 10 July (MTNews): Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung conducted a special student induction program to warmly welcome newly-admitted students and their parents.

The program began with Dr Imtiwati Jamir, Principal of JMC, extending a formal welcome to the students, introducing them to the JMC family. Dr Jamir highlighted the key aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and emphasized the benefits of the recently introduced six-month certificate courses. The presentation shed light on the institution’s various clubs, activities, and facilities.
Mrs. Shilula Imchen, Associate Pastor Women, MTBA, led a prayer for the well-being of the students, their parents, and mentors. Subsequently, parents, mentors, and students engaged in a discussion about the curriculum, addressing the responsibilities and expectations associated with their chosen courses.
The second session of the induction program focused on fostering interaction among the students. Icebreaker activities were organized to help students get acquainted with their peers and create a supportive atmosphere.
Akangtemsu Yaden, a Youth Evangelist from MTBA, delivered an inspiring and motivational talk on the theme of “Universal Human Values.” Yaden also shared snippets of his life as a student and how the institution and teachers helped in shaping and building his life.
The induction program aimed to assist first-year students in adapting to their new academic setting and to facilitate interactions with their instructors. Simultaneously, it provided parents with insights into the college’s environment and the challenges their children might encounter.
