Mokokchung, 5 April (MTNews): The Department of English, Jubilee Memorial College collaborated with AIR Mokokchung to produce a Live English segment. As part of their Value Added Course, 11 students were accompanied by A Ajungla Jamir, Department of English, and Nukshinaro, Department of English, to AIR Mokokchung to record the English segment, which was broadcast live from 7:30 to 8:00 pm, an update from the college informed.
The Value Added Course, which includes the Mass Communications and Broadcasting course offered by the Department of English at Jubilee Memorial College, focuses on improving students’ language and communication skills while also allowing them to learn skills in mass communication and broadcasting, broadening their knowledge and expertise in the field.
“This collaboration with AIR Mokokchung provides a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and gain practical experience in the field of radio broadcasting,” the update read.
The students were able to gain firsthand knowledge of how a professional radio station operates during their visit to AIR Mokokchung. They had the opportunity to record the English segment, which was broadcast live to AIR Mokokchung listeners, with the assistance of experienced professionals.
