Peren, 8 February (MTNews): Kaziranga University recently conducted a Student Empowerment seminar focused on skill development initiatives for the youth, emphasizing the significance of soft skills in achieving successful career growth. The program was organized in collaboration with Assam Rifles for the students of Sainik School Punglwa in Peren district, Nagaland, on 7 February 2024.
Carrying the theme ‘Building Youth for the Nation,’ the seminar featured lectures on making informed career choices, adopting a pragmatic approach post-school, and the pivotal role of skills and attitude in shaping one’s future. Mr Abhijeet Bhardwaj, Manager of Kaziranga University, and Mr Bobby Roy, CMO & Dean of Kaziranga University, delivered insightful sessions during the event. The students were educated on developing finer arts such as communication, emphasizing its broader implications in various career aspects.
The seminar, attended by approximately 320 students, aimed to raise awareness about the evolving job landscape, emphasizing that educational qualifications alone are not sufficient. The growing demand for refined soft skills across all platforms was highlighted, underlining the importance of staying competitive in the contemporary job market.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving the young participants motivated, enthusiastic, and instilled with a healthy spirit of competition. The school authorities, teachers, and faculty members expressed their sincere gratitude to Kaziranga University and Assam Rifles for their efforts and innovative outreach programs in remote areas.
