The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) on Tuesday organized the 2nd Edition of its Annual Sports Meet 2025 at D-Khel Ground, Kohima.

MLA of the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency, Dr Tsielhoutuo Rhutso, graced the occasion as the Guest Speaker. In his address, he shared reflections on his childhood and highlighted the importance of the dignity of labor in achieving success. He encouraged students to prioritize education above all else.

Guest of Honour Dode Nakro, in his speech, emphasized the need for good sportsmanship and teamwork, while also pointing out that trust-building and resilience are key factors in achieving goals.

Earlier, the welcome address and acknowledgement were delivered by Kuwe Mekru, President of KCSU. The programme was led by Vezito Tetseo, while the invocation was pronounced by Wewu-ü Kapfo, Woman Pastor, KCBCK. A folk tune was presented by the Chakhesang Students’ Union, Kohima College.

An oath-taking ceremony was led by Virelu Pohena, Games & Sports Secretary of KCSU. The sports events began with a “Kick Off” by the Guest Speaker.
