The Kohima District Athletics Association (KDAA) conducted the under-14, under-16, and under-18 (boys and girls) District Meet on August 30, 2025, at Meriema Village Ground.
The event began with an opening ceremony chaired by Neingusalie Khoubve, General Secretary of KDAA. The invocation prayer was offered by Hetuo Khrodi, Travelling Pastor of Pesocha Baptist Church Council, according to a press release.
The oath-taking was administered by Leketoulie Liezietsu, District Technical Official (DTO), while the event briefing was conducted by Neilazetuo Khezhie, Federation State Technical Official (FSTO).
A total of 74 participants, including 23 female and 51 male athletes, took part in the one-day event, which featured competitions such as triathlon, 60m, 100m, 400m, 600m, 1000m races, high jump (scissors), long jump, and shot put across all categories.
The selected athletes will represent Kohima district at the Second Nagaland Junior Athletic Meet 2025 on September 10, 2025.
