The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and the Assam Rifles (AR) have formally resolved their recent differences in an amicable manner following KDFA’s earlier stance of non-cooperation with the AR.

According to an update from the KDFA, the meeting between the two parties was held on 31st August, 2025 (Sunday) at Hotel 2K, Kohima, attended by officials of the KDFA, and officers of the 45 and 13 AR, along with the family members of the late Capt. N Kengurüse.

“After two hours of threadbare discussion, the matter was resolved,” the KDFA stated.  The Association expressed its appreciation to the various district football associations for their solidarity during this period.

KDFA further reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote football and nurture football talent in Kohima district and across Nagaland.
