The Kohima District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA) will organise a free table tennis coaching camp from July 14 to 21 at the Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium.
The coaching camp is open to students up to Class X and will be conducted by a National Institute of Sports (NIS)-certified coach. The programme aims to provide young players an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of table tennis and enhance their skills under professional guidance.
Interested students can register by contacting KDTTA officials at the stadium during playing hours up to 7:00 PM. They may also contact Kaka Belho and Raju Chettri at 8131911951 and 8974225573 for registration and further details.
Following the coaching camp, KDTTA will organise the Inter-School cum Kohima District Table Tennis Championship on August 14 and 15, 2026. Schools interested in participating, along with KDTTA-registered players, have been requested to contact the association officials for registration.
KDTTA further informed that the Kohima District Table Tennis team for the upcoming Inter-District Table Tennis Championship will be selected based on players’ performances in the Inter-School tournament and the Kohima District Championship.
The association has encouraged aspiring young table tennis players, schools, and parents to support participation in the events and contribute towards promoting the sport in Kohima district and Nagaland.
