The Kewhimia U-15 Kene (Wrestling) Championship was held today at Pele Khezhie Indoor Stadium, Kohima Village. Organized by Bout Lords and powered by the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO), the event began with an inaugural programme chaired by Khriesazo Liezietsu, Tournament Management Director of Bout Lords. KVYO President Er. Medozhazo Rutsa delivered the welcome address, and Kevidzenyü Rutsa offered the invocation.
In the championship, Kevisetuo Kire emerged as the champion, followed by Meguolhou Sote, Keneiphretuo Kire, and Menguvor Khezhie. Winners received cash prizes and trophies sponsored by Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome, Vice President of KVYO. The selected list of wrestlers for the NASA Wrestling Meet 2026 (Group-A) was also announced. The closing programme was chaired by Viliebeizo Liezietsu, Games and Sports Secretary of KVYO. Councillor Kelhousenuo Khruomo also rewarded the champion with an additional Rs 5,000.
