Khongka | 22 December (MTNews): Khongka Baptist Church celebrated its Golden Jubilee on December 18-19, 2024, under the theme “Proclaim the Year of the Lord’s Favor.” The two-day event brought together residents, well-wishers, and distinguished guests in a spirit of gratitude and unity.
The celebration was graced by Rev Dr SJ Akhum, Executive Secretary of YBBA, who inaugurated the Jubilee monolith, symbolizing the church’s 50-year journey of faith and God’s blessings. Pastor S Lutsuthong Yim, church board members, and village elders were also present to witness this significant moment.
Naomi, Women Secretary of YBBA, dedicated the Jubilee souvenir, which commemorated this historic milestone. Mr. Lakiumong, Youth Secretary of YBBA, delivered a speech on the theme “Visionary Youth for Christ and the Church” before the celebration concluded with a closing ceremony led by Rev Dr SJ Akhum.
The event’s success was made possible through the collective efforts of the organizing committee, volunteers, and delegates from 14 neighboring villages, totaling 196 participants. The Jubilee Planning Committee extended heartfelt gratitude to all individuals, societies, and churches whose contributions ensured the success of this memorable occasion.
