The 52nd Games & Sports meet of the Khulazu Basa Youth Organization commenced today at Khulazu Basa ground under Phek district.
Rukuzo Khamo, secretary of the Central Executive Board (CEB), Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), graced the inaugural session as the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Khamo asserted that youth represent the most dynamic and significant stage of life.
In this regard, he urged the youth to prepare thoroughly to succeed in life. “Youth life is energetic, curious, risk-taking, and adventurous,” he said, urging the youth to exercise a smart and positive mindset. He also encouraged the youth to develop a positive mental attitude for building a vibrant society.
Advising them to be sincere and committed to the fields of sports and education, Khamo emphasized that societal progress lies in the hands of dedicated youth.
The inaugural session was led by KYO president Khriesaciiyi Khamo, while KYO advisor Ziivehii Rhakho delivered the welcome address.
The meet, which will continue until December 21, will feature football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field events. Meanwhile, Neshuyi Rhakho, secretary of the Village Development Board, Khulazu Basa village, will be the guest of honor at the closing ceremony.
