Mokokchung, January 13 (MTNews): In a two-day orientation workshop on Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) 2022 for the State of Nagaland, Commissioner and Secretary, DoHFW, Kikhato Sema, IAS, stated that there are significant challenges in the state health sector and asked all officers present to propose health units only on a need-basis.
He also advised the officers to hold a consultation with the churches and community to collaborate and form a partnership in creating community-based health centers in those centers that are currently non-functional.
The orientation workshop began on January 13, at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare in Kohima.
According to Dr Ritu Thur, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Nagaland, the main objective of the two-day workshop is to sensitize and raise awareness about areas of concern in our health sector in accordance with IPHS standards.
The workshop will be held both on Offline and Online mode covering topics on Importance of IPHS 2022.
