The Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, has issued a directive addressing the alarming issue of construction materials, off-road vehicles, firewood, debris, and waste materials being haphazardly dumped and parked along the roadsides in and around Kiphire Town. This practice has not only obstructed the smooth flow of traffic and movement of commuters but has also raised public safety concerns.

In a notification released on October 21, 2024, Longkumer directed the concerned owners to remove all materials from the roadsides safely and efficiently by October 30, 2024.

The Deputy Commissioner warned that failure to comply with the deadline will lead to the seizure of the obstructing materials and possible legal action against those who do not adhere to the directive. This is issued for strict compliance.
