The SAATHI Campaign – which stands for Survey for Aadhaar and Access to Tracking & Holistic Inclusion – is a nationwide initiative of the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA). It seeks to identify children in need of care and protection and connect them with the appropriate rights and entitlements by facilitating Aadhaar registration, ensuring school enrolment, access to welfare schemes, and providing legal assistance wherever necessary. The initiative symbolizes the legal services machinery becoming a companion to every vulnerable child, ensuring that no one is left behind.

The Legal Awareness Camp, organise as part of the national SAATHI initiative of the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA), was conducted at two major locations in the district: the District Court Complex, Kiphire, and the ADC Office, Pungro Town. These camps aimed to identify destitute and vulnerable children under the age of 18 years and facilitate their Aadhaar registration, issuance of Birth Certificates and Permanent Residential Certificate thereby enabling them to access a range of government schemes, educational benefits, and legal entitlements.

The initiative witnessed active participation from parents, guardians, and community stakeholders across various areas under Kiphire jurisdiction. During the campaign, approximately 85 (Eighty five) children were successfully registered for Aadhaar, 46 (Forty six) children were issued Birth Certificates and 39 (Thirty nine) children were issued Permanent Residential Certificates.
