Fire Station Kiphire conducted a fire and evacuation drill at Ao Baptist Church, Kiphire Town, today in collaboration with representatives from local churches in Kiphire Town.
During the exercise, a briefing was delivered on the profile of Fire Station Kiphire, its key activities, public response mechanisms, and the challenges faced during fire emergencies. The session also highlighted the upcoming implementation of the Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2021.
Participants were encouraged to install fixed fire protection systems in local churches.
The drill concluded with hands-on training on the operation of fire extinguishers and the handling of LPG gas fires.
