The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) on behalf of Kiphire and Longkhim-Chare student community under Tuensang has strongly opposed the recent transfer order issued by the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, demanding its immediate cancellation within seven days.

In a representation addressed to the Principal Director of School Education “through proper channel,” the students stated, “We strongly appeal for its immediate cancellation within seven (7) days from the date of this letter, as it violates the Nagaland School Education Services Rules, 2017, which govern school education employees in the state.”

The students asserted that “transfers must be conducted fairly, ensuring stability and adherence to established policies,” but claimed that the latest order does not comply with the Nagaland School Education Services Rules, 2017. “The transfer order appears to contravene these provisions, causing unnecessary hardship and administrative disruption,” they stated.

Listing their key concerns, the students emphasized: Violation of Service Rules – “The transfer order does not comply with the guidelines prescribed in the Nagaland School Education Services Rules, 2017 (Copy enclosed for your ready reference).”

Disruption of Administrative Stability – “Arbitrary transfers disrupt school operations and negatively impact students’ communities.”

Request for Immediate Review and Cancellation – “Given these concerns, we urge your office to revoke the transfer order within seven (7) days from the issuance of this representation.”

They further warned that “failure to acknowledge this genuine demand will compel the USSC to take necessary action, which may impact the normal functioning of educational institutions within its jurisdiction.”

Additionally, the students instructed the DEO, Sr. SDEO Kiphire, and SDEO Longkhim “not to issue release orders,” warning that “any officer who fails to acknowledge this appeal and proceeds otherwise will do so at their own risk.”

Expressing hope that their appeal would be taken seriously, the student body stated, “We trust your office will address this matter with urgency and uphold fairness in policy implementation.”
