Kohima-based alternative metal band Daze released its debut single, “Chances,” along with its official music video on October 23.
The song explores the emotional challenges of pursuing an uncertain path, focusing on the determination and personal sacrifices required to move forward despite difficult odds. Combining technical guitar riffs with powerful vocals, “Chances” reflects the band’s approach to heavy music and lyric-driven storytelling.
The track was recorded and produced by Moyuchen Yanthan at Infinite Records, Kohima, while its official music video was shot and edited by i/o-ki Production.
Daze comprises Alang Imchen, Sedevisie Iralu, Arenchenla Walling, Bendangmoa Pongen and Tsungten Pongener. Following the release of its debut single, the band plans to release an extended play (EP) in 2027.
The release introduces Daze’s musical direction as the band begins its journey in the alternative metal scene.
