The Capital College of Higher Education successfully hosted its annual TRIFECTA FEST on September 29–30 under the theme “Tradition, Innovation, Legacy.” The two-day festival brought together cultural, artistic, and intellectual pursuits, offering students a platform to showcase their talents.

The first day highlighted cultural heritage and artistic expression. The inaugural session, chaired by Kumuni Keppen, began with students displaying traditional attire, followed by the Principal delivering the Trifecta Greetings and formally opening the festival. A folk song competition saw First Semester students emerge as winners. The Narrative Competition on “Place Stories” featured 18 students narrating stories rooted in their native villages, with Kurhungolu winning first prize and Tsachoba as runner-up. Vice-Principal Vevohu Kezo delivered the keynote address.

The second day, September 30, was devoted to music and critical thinking. It began with the Musical Fest, which featured a choral competition based on the college anthem and an energetic solo competition. Hosted by Meyiepeo, the event showcased the musical talents of the students, with the Third Semester winning the choral competition and Bumet excelling in the solo category.

In the afternoon session, focus shifted to intellectual engagement with a thought-provoking debate on the NLTP Act: “Boon or Bane.” The session was moderated by alumnus Kazia Zhimo, while the Principal served as critic, offering insightful commentary on the arguments presented. The award for Best Speaker was shared by Mutushe and Khumong.

Offstage competitions in essay writing, short story writing, painting, and photography highlighted students’ diverse talents. Winners included Mongtham (Essay), Kurhungolu (Short Story), Monyem (Painting), and Kumcholiba (Photography). The People’s Choice Award for Photography went to Kunutsulu.

The festival concluded with a prize distribution ceremony hosted by Vyunthungo, featuring encore performances from the competition winners. Academic awards for excellence in discipline, attendance, and performance across all semesters were also presented, recognizing both co-curricular and academic achievements.
