The 3rd Kohima Inter-Club T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 began on December 8 at the NCA Grounds in Sovima, promising four days of competitive cricket. Eight teams from across Kohima District are competing, with Elite Cricket Club returning to defend their consecutive titles from the previous two editions.

The opening day featured four matches across two venues. At Sovima Cricket Ground, Kohima Hornbills won the toss and elected to bat first against P Khel Eagles. Kohima Hornbills set a target of 155 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs, powered by Anga Shuya’s aggressive 71 runs off 34 balls. P Khel Eagles struggled in response, all out for 66 runs in 14.4 overs. Henry Kent took four wickets for Kohima Hornbills, who won by 89 runs. Anga Shuya was named Man of the Match.
In the second match at Sovima, Elite Cricket Club comfortably chased down T Khel Knights’ total of 103 runs in 9.3 overs, losing only two wickets. Imomenba’s 48 runs anchored the chase, earning him Man of the Match honors.
At GNR Ground, Dapfhütsumia Cricket Club was bowled out for 64 runs against Tribal Legends. Mhajan’s five-wicket haul helped Tribal Legends chase the target with seven wickets down. Mhajan was awarded Man of the Match.
In the final game of the day, Brotherhood Team posted 115 runs for four wickets in 16 overs. Despite a strong effort by Greyhounds, who scored 92 for nine wickets, Brotherhood won by 23 runs. Viketho Kechü’s 62 runs earned him Man of the Match.
