Kohima, September 6 (MTNews): Kohima Law College celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th Sept, 2022 at its Auditorium Hall organized by Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU) with the theme – “Leading in crisis, re-imagining the future”.
The event was organized by the Kohima Law College Students’ Union and the LL.B students from the 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters presented special number dedicated to teachers, speeches acknowledging teachers’ sincerity, sacrifices with several gifts and also hosted their teachers with a grand lunch.
The Kohima Law College’s tradition is that the passed-out students who are already in law practice and others visit their teachers at home with gifts to acknowledge their teachers for helping them become who they are today.
“The teachers and students relationship always continue to help each other in any situation and this is the beauty of being a teacher in this college,” said Kezhokhoto Savi, the senior most teacher.
Savi said that the college has produced “judges of High Court as well as district courts, promising advocates” and few others such as “administrators, several officers” and that even “IAS and IPS officers come and study law in the making as well as already earned LL.B degree.”
He further mentioned that two of their students from different batches were awarded “Gold Medal” in the recent university convocation ceremony conducted by Nagaland University.
The passed-out students of Kohima Law College also visited the senior most law teacher Kezhokhoto Savi at his home on 5th Sept 2022 with gifts in acknowledging their teacher’s contribution in molding, shaping, building their life in college and constantly enlightening them to do better in their career.
