Savi addressed the audience, saying, “Today, many of you may be facing personal crises, whether at home, in your studies, with your health, at work, or simply due to the pressures of life. However, amidst all these problems comes the message of Christmas, filled with hope, goodwill, and cheer. The Prince of Peace is born unto us, as we find in the Old Testament, Isaiah 9:6. When Jesus was born on the first night of Christmas, the Bible tells us of the angels who said to the fearful shepherds, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.’ That virgin-born baby was God in human form; He humbled Himself, took the form of a servant, and was made in our likeness. He identified Himself with our problems and the issues of the whole human race. The whole purpose of Jesus’ coming was for the salvation of sinners. However, there are still people today who celebrate Christmas and every Christmas of their lives for the wrong reasons. How many Christmases have come and gone without them truly knowing Jesus Christ and the gift of life He brings? The real message of Christmas is to accept Jesus. You must humble yourself, admit your sin and moral failures, and then, by faith, turn to Him as your Lord and Savior.”

Earlier in the program, Rhonbeni Kikon served as the chairperson, and Moasenla, Assistant Professor, gave the invocation. The welcome song was presented by the Kohima Law College Evangelical Union, followed by a special number by Bintopong and Katimongla Longchar.

There was a gift exchange and a choir singing competition consisting of three choirs, with the results declared by Dr Sujata Upadhyaya, Assistant Professor. Henry Pauzielung read the scripture portion, and the benediction was pronounced by Kekhriesilie, Assistant Professor, followed by a Christmas feast.
