Mokokchung, June 17 (MTNews): Kohima Law College on Friday conducted a Moot Court with three moot problems involving both criminal and civil cases and constitutional issues for the LL. B final year students. The Teacher-in-Charge of B.C.I Practical/Clinical Education, Asst. Professor Kezhokhoto Savi said that the purpose of organizing and conducting Moot Court was to help the law students gain experience to become successful lawyers in future.

Moot Court is a role-play court conducted in law schools and it gives confidence to the students to conduct cases in future when they are called upon to do so in their professional life. “Moot Court is part of Bar Council of India Practical Papers/clinical course and today the students participated actively as a final preparation to face university exam on moot court scheduled on 20th June, 2022,” a press release from the college said. The students also visited several lawyers’ chambers in both High Court and District Courts where they were required to learn court proceedings.
