The Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhüng (KLEE) held its general meeting today, 26th October 2024, at AWO Ki, Kohima. During the meeting, the Ekhung passed three resolutions: the current KLEE team will continue for another year in view of the Kohima Lotha Hoho’s 50th jubilee, which is to be celebrated next year; KLEE will monitor the misuse of social media by any individuals or groups within its Ekhung; and the usage of Lotha traditional attire will be based on different occasions.

Speaking on the occasion as a special guest, the President of ImpactHer, Nagaland, Shompvü Zanbeni Yanthan, urged the members present to work together for the upliftment of women and to be a support system for society’s betterment. She also emphasized that mothers should guide young people to respect and value their elders, reminding the womenfolk to support their families and society with perseverance and to acquire knowledge from various sources.

Meanwhile, Kohima Lotha Hoho Chairman Shompo KN Mhonthung Lotha, in his greeting message, stated that society needs more contributions from women for better development. He reminded the attendees that, except for decision-making roles, women are generally performing better than men these days.
