Kohima is set to host the Dr. T Ao Football Tournament from August 1 to 15. This was informed today by senior football coach Roko Angami, on behalf of the Kohima District Football Association and the Nagaland Football Association, during the monthly meeting of the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on Tuesday, according to a DIPR report.
He sought the cooperation of all DPDB members in organizing the event. The Deputy Commissioner urged full cooperation from all members assigned responsibilities, stating, “Last time, Tuensang set the bar very high by successfully organizing the Dr. T Ao Football Tournament in a grand manner. We must follow suit and set the bar even higher.”
A senior official of the NFA also confirmed to MT that the tournament would be held in Kohima. However, it was informed that the NFA will make the official announcement after their meeting in Kohima tomorrow.
