The Annual Sports Meet of Koinonia Baptist School commenced on March 26 at the school campus, with Medotseilieü Kiewhuo, Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), gracing the opening ceremony as the chief guest and lighting the ceremonial torch.

A press release from the school stated that in her speech, Medotseilieü emphasized the school’s divine vision and the unique purpose for which each child has been ordained. She highlighted the significance of both physical and spiritual training, asserting that while athletes strive for victory in games, it is the spiritual pursuit that offers the ultimate reward.

Citing 1 Corinthians 9:24, she reminded everyone that the quest for an imperishable crown is a vital aspect of their journey. She also encouraged students, parents, and stakeholders to continue their prayers and support, underscoring their integral role in the school community.

The inaugural event was chaired by Neikhrietuo and Pekrubeinuo, with Bible readings and an invocation led by Ruokuoneizo Sanchu, an evangelist. The sports committee’s activities were presented by Neisanuo, the committee’s treasurer. Special musical performances were delivered by Pelevituo and Sophia, while Seyielhoulie Solo, President of the Sports Committee, administered the Oath of Sportsmanship.

The Sapphire Warriors, led by Parade Commander Arush from Class 5, were awarded the title of ”Best March Past” by the chief guest.

The program also featured attendees from the Women’s Department of Koinonia Baptist Church and members of the School Managing Board.
