The Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee with a four-day event held from December 11 to 14, 2025, at the KBBB Mission Centre in Mon. The celebration, themed “Celebrating the Amazing Love of God,” drew over three thousand attendees, including church leaders, community members, and invited guests from across the region.
Keynote speakers included Rev Dr Namseng R Marak, Secretary General of the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India (CBCNEI), Rev Dr Mar Pongener, General Secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Rev Dr W Pongsing, former Executive Secretary and At-large Missionary of KBBB, and Rev TW Yamyap, former Executive Secretary of KBBB. Each speaker addressed various subtopics under the central theme, emphasizing the enduring love of God.
The celebration also featured participation from leaders of other tribal Baptist organizations, including the Executive Secretaries of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA), KBBB Myanmar, and the Executive Secretaries of Nocte and Wancho tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. Former KBBB staff shared testimonies of God’s faithfulness through challenging times, recalling the dedication of early pioneers who laid the foundation of the church.
The KBBB expressed gratitude to numerous individuals and institutions for supporting the event’s success. Special thanks were extended to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and nine legislators from Mon district for facilitating the black-topping of a three-kilometer road, construction of culverts, and other repairs leading to the mission centre. The Mon district administration also provided assistance, while Col. Akum Keitzer of the 42 AR in Mon contributed an excavator to level the Jubilee Hall construction site. Additionally, the children of the late Rev T Moina constructed a Jubilee Monument Hall in honor of their father’s service to the church. Contributions in cash, kind, and five Mithuns were provided by KBBB churches and individuals to support the four-day gathering.
The Platinum Jubilee concluded with the adoption of five resolutions proposed by the Drafting Committee. The first reaffirmed the Konyak community’s gratitude to God’s unfailing love and pledged to live as an undivided community under that love. The second resolution pledged to stand against social evils and appealed to the Government of Nagaland for stringent implementation of the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Acts, vowing to “fight tooth and nail” to maintain the laws across Nagaland.
The third resolution emphasized remaining rooted in the Word of God and striving for a holistic ministry. The fourth called for peaceful coexistence in India, stating, “India is a democratic country; hence, irrespective of any individuals or religious community, [people] should live in a peaceful co-existence without fear of persecution,” and pledged to speak out against any hindrance faced by Christians. The final resolution highlighted the responsibility to expand God’s Kingdom beyond their own community, focusing on reaching unreached places.
